From top-tier podiums to paddock expansion, the Road America weekend was a landmark event for ACI Motorsports.
ELKHART LAKE, WI — ACI Motorsports stormed into Road America with seven entries in Porsche Carrera Cup North America series across all three categories, and walked away with a dominant set of results that underscored both performance and program depth. Race one saw a sweep of the top step with two P1 finishes across classes, a major highlight for the growing customer-focused team.
In Saturday’s 40-minute battle, Jimmy Llibre delivered a breakthrough performance, taking first place overall in the Pro category of race one. ACI went head-to-head with some of the most dominant teams in the paddock and emerged with a well-earned win, showcasing the program’s growth and momentum. J.P. Martinez added to the celebration with a victory finish of his own in Pro-Am.
Sunday’s race two kept the momentum alive, as Martinez stood on the Road America podium again after securing another Pro-Am win. Richard Edge earned a hard-fought P2 in the Masters class, landing back on the podium after fighting back for position in the race.
In the Pro category of race two, Llibre drove down the Road America Straight crossing the checkered in P5. John Jodoin and Yves Baltas fought through a stacked field with competitive drives, Baltas bringing it home in P8 and John in P11. This weekend was also the Porsche Carrera Cup debut for Alex Pratt, who showed incredible potential with a P15 finish overall with only 10 career sessions behind the wheel of a racecar prior to his Carrera Cup debut. Pratt’s debut reflected pace and composure and it’s clear there’s a bright road ahead.
“This weekend was one of those defining moments for ACI,” added Team Owner Curt Swearingin. Seeing our guys on the top step, twice in one weekend, is a huge payoff for the work everyone puts in behind the scenes. We’re building something special here, a real program that gives drivers and partners a place to grow. I couldn’t be more proud of our crew and our drivers.”
Alex Pratt’s debut brought fresh energy to the paddock, backed by major support from Good Boy Vodka on his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. His entry marks an exciting new chapter of growth for both ACI and Porsche Carrera Cup, as new brands and emerging talent continue to join the sport through the strength of the team’s customer racing program.
“Bringing Alex Pratt and Good Boy Vodka to the paddock is a win for ACI and the series. We’re proud to open that door, supporting Alex’s debut and introducing Good Boy is what customer racing is all about: growth, opportunity, and raising the bar.”
From top-tier podiums to paddock expansion, the Road America weekend was a landmark event for ACI Motorsports. The team is already gearing up for the next Porsche Carrera Cup North America race of round six at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, September 19–21.
