Chattanooga, TN (October 21, 2025) — ACI Motorsports arrived at Indianapolis locked in a championship battle sitting second in the Pirelli GT4 America Pro-Am standings and only a few points shy of the championship lead. The team came into Rounds 12 & 13 during the Indy 8 Hour weekend ready to fight, and left with a hard-earned podium and a few lessons.
Lineup for the weekend:
No. 7 — Curt Swearingin / Jan Heylen (Pro-Am)
No. 9 — Dan Sibille / Loek Hartog (Pro-Am)
For the Indianapolis weekend Curt Swearingin rejoined the No. 7 entry with veteran Jan Heylen filling in for Riley Dickinson, who was at Circuit of The Americas contesting his Porsche Carrera Cup North America Pro championship.
Race weekend started with dry conditions and then turned wet and cold, testing setups and driver adaptability. Jan Heylen stepping in for Riley was a huge plus: his experience and calm behind the wheel immediately translated into pace and consistency for the No. 7. Loek Hartog continued to adapt impressively to GT4 dynamics while balancing his GT3 WEC commitments, and Dan Sibille showed steady improvement all weekend, the No. 9 team found more pace despite earlier season setbacks like tire punctures. Team owner/driver Curt Swearingin was proud of the collective effort and the way everyone pulled together under pressure.
The opening practice showed promising speed from the No. 9. Loek and Dan put the car inside the top six overall, running P6 overall and P3 in class, while the No. 7 ran mid-pack in P10 as the team worked through baseline setup for the weekend.
The second session was a strong statement from the No. 7. Jan and Curt topped the Pro-Am chart P1 in class and P2 overall, with the No. 9 right on their heels in P3 overall. This session gave the team confidence heading into qualifying and helped refine race strategy for mixed conditions.
Qualifying delivered mixed but encouraging results. Loek qualified the No. 9 P2 overall, missing pole by just five-tenths of a second, a razor-thin margin that showed the car had race pace. Dan’s qualifying run placed the No. 9 P9 in class. On the No. 7, Jan qualified P7 overall and P4 in class, while Curt qualified P12 overall and P5 in class. The grid positions set the stage for two intense races.
Race 1 was monumental for our championship hopes; the team had the pace, the pit execution was strong, but the finish left us just shy of the result we needed to carry more comfort into race two. The No. 7 crossed the line P4 in class and P12 overall with Curt bringing the car home after a competitive, dry race. The No. 9 finished P9 in class, with Loek posting the third-fastest lap of the race at 1:31.224. That fourth-place class result increased the pressure for Race 2, we needed a win to keep the championship fight completely within reach.
Under immense pressure in Race 2, the No. 7 drove an aggressive, clean race. Starting 12th, Curt and Jan combined to gain six positions and finish P6 overall and P3 in Pro-Am, a hard-fought podium and a big moment for the driver pairing. The No. 9 had a tougher race: after starting 23rd the car was taken out of contention by an incident and ultimately finished 22nd overall, P9 in class.
All season the No. 7 squad has been at the front of the Pro-Am field with multiple class podiums, an in-class victory, and even an overall race win. That string of strong results, plus the crew’s adaptability in mixed conditions, is exactly the momentum the team wants to carry into the championship finale.
