With standout performances from JP Martinez, Marco Cirone, Richard Edge, Yves Baltas, John Jodoin and Jimmy Llibre, the team leaves Indianapolis with valuable points, silverware, and its championship ambitions firmly on track.

Indianapolis, Indiana (September 20, 2025) — The Brickyard delivered classic Indianapolis drama this weekend and ACI Motorsports answered with a string of headline-making performances. Across upper eighty-degree conditions and tight, door-to-door racing, ACI’s drivers demonstrated performance leaving Indy with hardware and a Pro-Am championship lead still firmly in the team’s sights.
JP Martinez entered Indy leading the Pro-Am standings and faced a weekend that tested both driver and team. An early incident in Race 1 took both driver and car out of contention, but what followed became the weekend’s defining story as ACI’s crew executed a late-night recovery sourcing a backup from the shop in Tennessee and rebuilding the No. 4 911 GT3 Cup in record time. Back in Race 2 on Saturday, Martinez mounted a determined charge from the back, starting the race 26th and working forward to 16th overall, and crucially, P2 in Pro-Am class, locking in valuable points and preserving his championship lead.
“I’m so proud of this team, they never gave up on me or the car,” Martinez said. “To come back after what happened in Race 1 and stand on the Pro-Am podium in Race 2 says everything about our resilience. We’re still in the fight.”
Toronto native Marco Cirone enjoyed a weekend to celebrate at the Brickyard, returning to the saddle of his 911 GT3 Cup and delivering two podium finishes for ACI. In Race 1 he recovered from P24 to P16 overall and took P3 in Pro-Am. Race 2 saw another strong effort: starting P21 and finishing P18 overall, P2 in Pro-Am, for a one-two championship-round haul that keeps Marco firmly in the conversation as the series heads onward.
Richard Edge turned what began as a recovery weekend into a statement of strength. After a tough start in Race 1 (P23 on the grid), Edge methodically carved through the field to P19 and ultimately secured a hard-earned P4 in class just shy of the podium but unmistakably fast. Unwilling to settle, he returned for Race 2 where he started P22 and finished P21, laying down consistent lap times and showing the pace ACI expects as the season heads into the closing rounds.
“Every stint this weekend reminded me why I pushed, the car felt stronger every run,” Edge said. “We left a little on the table in Race 1, but the pace was there. We’ll take those learnings and come back hungrier.”
Yves Baltas flashed speed all weekend and proved his race pace when it mattered. In Race 1, contact late in the stint, involving a fellow competitor, unfortunately took him out of contention, but the incident only underlined Yves’ raw speed: he returned in Race 2 to demonstrate the kind of pace that will make him a threat on any circuit. The team’s engineers and crew worked to fine-tune balance and strategy, and Yves rewarded them with aggressive, controlled drives that hinted at even bigger results to come.
Making his first appearances in the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup paddock this season after stepping up from MX-5 Cup, John Jodoin brought fearless close-quarters experience and a hunger to learn. A penalty early in Race 1 set him back, but Jodoin delivered a stronger Race 2, P14 in class and P17 overall showing how quickly he’s adapting to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and the one-make intensity of Carrera Cup racing.
Dominican Republic standout Jimmy Llibre lived up to the hype at Indy. He qualified inside the top 10 (P6), fought through intense traffic and multiple battles, and finished Race 1 in P6, a composed performance under pressure. Race 2 brought more adversity when contact with another car shuffled the order, but Jimmy mounted a fierce comeback through a stacked 26-car field to finish P12, illustrating both tenacity and racecraft.
Across the paddock, ACI Motorsports demonstrated the kind of teamwork that wins races and championships: quick thinking from the mechanics, strategic calls from engineers, and drivers who refused to be defined by setbacks. The overnight rebuild of JP Martinez’s car, pulled from Tennessee and engineered back into race trim, was a standout example of that spirit. The result? Hardware, points and a renewed sense of purpose as the series moves forward.
The thrilling conclusion of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season is set for October 8–11 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Teams and drivers will battle it out in the championship’s final round during the iconic Petit Le Mans weekend, promising high-speed action and unforgettable racing moments
