[Chattanooga, TN] – Curt Swearingin - founder and Team Principal of ACI Motorsports - is partnering with Bas Koeten Racing, a prominent name in endurance racing - to gear up for a historic moment at the upcoming Hankook 24H DUBAI on January 26-28, as they confirm their participation with two Porsche 992 GT3 Cup entries for the first time.
With a rich history that includes two victories in the 991-class at the Hankook 24H DUBAI and a consistent presence since the inaugural race in 2006, Bas Koeten Racing is poised to mark its 15th start at the prestigious event. Having competed in various categories such as D1, A4, SPX, TCR, GT3, and GT4, including securing the 2021 Overall GT Teams’ championship with ST Racing, the Dutch team is eyeing a triumphant return to Dubai with a dual-lineup in the competitive 992 class.
Under the banner of 'Team Captain America,' the first Porsche, adorned with a fittingly patriotic livery, will feature an experienced and talented lineup of American drivers. Grant Talkie, Curt Swearingin, Richard Edge, and Pedro Torres - renowned names in Porsche Carrera Cup North America, GT4 America, and GT World Challenge North America - will each make their debut at the Hankook 24H DUBAI in January.
The #925 Porsche will be further strengthened by the inclusion of Dutch driver Kay Van Berlo, marking his return to the 24H SERIES since the 2018 Hankook 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS. The diverse and experienced team is set to bring a blend of international talent to the race, enhancing the competitive edge of Bas Koeten Racing.
